Almost all the affiliate marketers are looking for a magic formula of successful marketing. But the real successful marketing is more complicated than that. It is just good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication.

There are tactics that have worked before with online marketing and is continuing to work in the online affiliate marketing world of today. With these top three marketing tips, you will be able to able to increase your sales and survive in the affiliate marketing online.

What are these three tactics?

1. Using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more. Plus, a good reasonable priced web hosting allows you to host unlimited websites is the right way to good. I use Just Host for my web hosting. It is just $59/year.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do to those who buys them. Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing.

You can also write articles highlighting the uses of the product and include them on the website as an additional page. Make the pages attractive compelling and include calls to act on the information. Each headline should attract the readers to try and read more, even contact you. Highlight your special points. This will help your readers to learn what the page is about and will want to find out more.

2. Offer free reports to your readers. If possible position them at the very topside of your page so it they simply cannot be missed. Try to create auto responder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box. According to research, a sale is closed usually on the seventh contact with a prospect. So a good Auto responder is a necessary gear for your business. I use Aweber. It is a cheap and user-friendly autoresponder system. If you do not have one yet, I suggest you get Aweber.

Only two things can possibly happen with the web page alone: closed sale or the prospect leaving the page and never return again. By placing useful information into their inboxes at certain specified period, you will remind them of the product they thought they want later and will find out that the sale is closed. Be sure that the content is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product. Do not make it sound like a sales pitch.

Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in the email. As much as possible, avoid using the word “free” because there are still older Spam filters that dumps those kind of contents into the junk before even anyone reading them first. Convince those who signed up for your free reports that they will be missing something big if they do not avail of your products and services.

3. Get the kind of traffic that is targeted to your product. Just think, if the person who visited your website has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, they will be among those who move on and never come back. Write articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports. This way you can locate publications that are focusing on your target customers and what you have put up might just grab their interest. Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with at least 300-600 words in length. By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate as many as 100-targeted readers to your site in a day.

Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or get your services. If you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, that means you can made 10 sales based on the average statistic.

The tactics given above does not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires a little time and an action plan on your part.

Try to use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs. You can end maintaining a good source of income and surviving in this business that not all marketers can do.

These days it’s getting harder than ever before to be able to get people to notice you – and just because “you build it” doesn’t mean they’re going to come.

So what does an author has to do then?

Well, there are 5 easy ways for you to take to get your juices flowing.  Add them to your sales plan, and use them as a jumping off place to help you make even more sales.

First, Create a long-term plan before you write even one word of your first book.  The truth of the matter is that you’re probably never going to get rich from writing one E-book.  So before you start writing your first book, start thinking about your second book.  And the first product that will tie into your first book.  And the second.  And then the third.

Second, Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.  Come up with as many different income streams as you can and plan to build them into your plan.  For example, can you create a workbook from your E-book?  What about recording some audio files that go into further details or give more information.  What about doing a joint venture with other experts in your industry?

Third, Sell more books at one time.  If your book covers any one of a number of popular subjects – self-help or development, home improvement, business, religion – there are probably corporations, organizations or niche markets that are always on the look-out for inexpensive gifts or bonuses for their employees, clients or associates.  Your book could be just the ticket.  Although you might have to go down in price – what do you think sounds better?  Selling one or two books at a time or selling box loads of them?

Forth, Once you’ve built up your credibility as a published author, it’s time to take things to the next level.  Have you ever dreamed of attending seminars or workshops as a presenter?  What about having a speaking career and being flown all over the world speaking to people in your niche market?  If you don’t like traveling or crowds, consider putting together teleseminars or holding intimate bootcamps.

Last, Create joint ventures.  This is the fastest and easiest way to leverage your expertise and start raking in the cash.  Find people who are in similar – but not competing industries as yours.  Explore ways for you to provide value to both of your customers while you’re cross-selling or upselling.  For example, if you own a restaurant, what about creating a special Valentine’s Day promotion with the local florist.  Offer free drinks or desserts to any of the florist’s customers who bring in a special card (that you’ve provided to them) when they come to your restaurant.  And your joint venture partner (the florist) gives you roses or carnations that can be given out to any women when their companion gives you the special dessert card.  See how simple that is? Real value that makes your customers happy, and builds loyalty and trust – and positions both of you as the first people your customers think of when they need flowers or want a romantic restaurant or a place to eat during a special occasion

Owning your own domain name is the fastest, easiest, and cheapest way to increase the professionalism of you and your business, virtually over-night.

Understand that in network marketing, or any business for that matter, you are selling yourself.

How to register a domain and forward to your affiliate link then? Well, it is pretty easy. Just follow my instructions below J

First, think of a domain name that makes sense. It is simple to remember, short and snappy and easy to spell.

Second, Go to www.Godaddy.com to search for you domain and register it if it is available. Do not register a .net unless you own the .com as everyone checks out the .com. So register a .com to go to your link.

When registering your .com domain Godaddy will offer you all sorts of bells and whistles which you don’t need. So ignore any extra offers for hosting etc as the forwarding is Free.

Third, Once you have purchased your domain name, login to godaddy account with your login info and take the following steps to forward it to your affiliate link:

- Click on “My Products” in the upper left

- Click on “Domain Manager” – a new page will open up with your domains on the page.

- Tick on the domain name you want to forward

- Click on the “forward” button above and select
‘forward domain’ from the dropdown menu.

- You will see your domain already added on
the left.

- Copy and paste or type your affiliate link without
the http:// into the forward to box on the right.
Your affiliate link is the link the company gives to you to promote with your ID or Username at the end.It will look like this;

==>> http://www.theinfinitydreamteam.com/members/micmei

(it will have your username not mine after the /)

- Click the “Update my DNS settings to support
this change. (Recommended)’ box

- Don’t worry about the Advance Settings Link as
that is for Masking and you do NOT want to mask
your domain as that can play around with the
affiliate tracking!

- Click ‘OK’ and click ‘OK’ again when the next
window pops up.

It may take anywhere from 1 minute to one hour for
the forwarding to active.  If it does not work right
away, give it a few minutes.  Most of the time it
takes 10 minutes or less.

Now, when somebody types in, or goes to http://www.yourwebsite.com/
they will be automatically forwarded to your affiliate link.

So this is the link you will use in all your
advertising.

Best of all if ever our links change for whatever
the reason, then all you have to do is update your
forwarding within your Godaddy and bam it won’t effect
any past advertising you have out there…which would
not be the case if you are promoting your affiliate
link directly.

Think of banner ads as the spice in your affiliate diet. Sprinkle them around, but for a heartier helping of sales, you’ll need something more solid! Learn to give your visitors longer, more descriptive pre-sales text. Revamp your affiliate advertising using these simple steps:

  1. Pull the Reader in
  2. Introduce the Product
  3. Explain the Product’s Significance
  4. Tell the Reader to Make a Purchase

Pull the Reader in

To convince your audience that your text is worth reading, make your first sentence or two very interesting. Make a bold statement, say something seemingly ridiculous, or appeal to your prospect’s emotional side. Then, tie this grabber in with the rest of your copy.

Introduce the Product

What is the product you’re advertising? What does it do? Directly after your grabber, give a compact explanation of your product. Keep this explanation short, while still being very clear. This should still be a very short section of your text.

Explain the Product’s Significance

What will it do for me?

By writing your own copy, you can directly target your unique audience. Make the most of this opportunity! Clearly explain how your readers will benefit from this product.

No one knows your audience like you do. Suggest a variety of product uses just for them, and give examples. This is the time for details – make this section long and rich.

Tell the Reader to Make a Purchase

You’ve come so far – you’ve laid out exactly what the product is and how it will help your unique audience. Now, seal the deal – tell your readers to purchase the product! Include your affiliate link in this section.

This step may sound strange, but it’s necessary. Often, people hear about a product and are genuinely interested, but fail to actually make a purchase. A clear call to a simple action cuts down on buyer ambivalence. Don’t be pushy – just change your verb tenses to the imperative. Instead of:

“If you think that you fit this profile, you might want to think about buying this product.”

Say: “Click here to order an account today.”

Drive Sales – Use Long Copy

If you don’t feel ready to write long copy yourself, ask your affiliate program manager for help! Many companies release well-written articles by respected authors that you can reprint free of charge.

The novelty of the Web is wearing off. People online now are busy. Surfers won’t make a purchase unless you make a great case for what they’ll get out of it. And you’re not going to do that with just a banner ad.
